Music for the Concert Hall

Charlotte studied composition at the Royal College of Music with Mark Anthony Turnage and on graduating won the prestigious Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Rose Bowl. She has written works for a wide range of leading ensembles and soloists with performances at Cadogan Hall, St Martin-in-the-Fields and The National Portrait Gallery. Charlotte is currently an Associate Composer with NonClassical.

Recent commissions and works include ‘Sol’ for NonClassical’s ‘Street Orchestra of London’, premiered as part of their debut summer tour, ‘Tinto’ for EWI, premiered by Alistair Parnell, ‘Off & On’ for solo drum kit, performed by James Larter and ‘EP’ written for and performed by ‘The G Project’, Gabriella Swallow (cello) and Genevieve Wilkins (percussion).

Solo Works/Concertos

‘S axop H on E’ 

Written for saxophonist Amy Green as part of the project ‘Over 100 Years of Women and the Saxophone’. Premiered at the World Saxophone Congress, Strasbourg, 2015.

‘Voyage’ – Concerto for Soprano Saxophone and Orchestra.

Premiered by Richard Ingham and the St Andrews University Symphony Orchestra,Younger Hall, St. Andrews. Subsequently performed worldwide by Gerard McCrystal.
